Prices Of Bread rise In Techiman

Prices of commodities started increasing after approval of the 2021 budget statement read by Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs also Majority leader of Ghana's Parliament.

On the above said, commodities for bread baking such as bread flour, gas, sugar etc has increased and has led to the increment of bread prices in Techiman the Regional capital of Bono East Region.

In an exclusive interview with Sikahemaa of Soireenews with one of the biggest bread company in Techiman, the  Chief Executive Officer for Yesu Adom special bread, Madam Evelyn Yeboah said, prices of commodities use for bread has increased and that has affected the prices of the bread.

Madam Evelyn Yeboah told that bakers are increasing the price because they do not want to reduce the quality and taste of the bread.

She finally apologized to all consumers for the increment and assured them that their decision is for the best.

On the other hand, some bread sellers in Techiman also asserted that the increment has affected their business because some of the sizes of the bread have decreased and due to that most of their customers have begun losing interest.
