President John Dramani Mahama has officially submitted his first set of ministerial nominations to the Speaker of Parliament, in line with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
The nominations feature three distinguished individuals set to occupy key positions in his administration.
The nominees include Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as Minister for Finance, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor as Minister for Energy, and Hon. Dominic Akuritinga Ayini as Attorney-General and Minister for Justice.
Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson – Minister for Finance Designate
Dr. Forson is a seasoned economist, chartered accountant, and tax practitioner with an extensive background in public finance, macroeconomics, fiscal policy, and tax policy.
A five-term Member of Parliament, he holds a PhD in Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), alongside Master of Science degrees in Tax
