Prampram Paramount  Chief Urges Healthy Living;  Embark on fitness walk

The Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Area who doubles as the President of Prampram Traditional Council, Nene Tetteh Wakar IIl, has embarked on a health walk exercise and to keep fit and maintain good health.

The exercise was aimed at fostering unity and promote physical activity to improve their health and reduce the risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCD) ahead of Homowo Celebration.
About 1000 persons, including traditional leaders from the Prampram Traditional Area participated the health walk from Dawhenya through to the principal Streets of Prampram township.
Nene Tetteh Wakar IIl, expressed satisfaction with the turn-out and called for the people to ensure a common purpose of unity to ensure the overall development of the Prampram community.
He said the exercise was also to help nurture the talents of the youth for a brighter career.
He urged all to work towards living a healthy lifestyle to increase productivity and also prevent diseases on premature deaths.

He further stressed, diseases pose a significant threat to the health of the people across and called on the citizens and residents in Prampram and its sorrounding communities to commit to physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
"I am saying that those who are active and fit are healthier exercise is a medicine and urged all to improve their health fitness and reduce the risk factor of diseases such as –cardiovascular conditions, cancers, Diabetes and many more," Nene Tetteh Wakar lll  noted.
He encouraged the people to commit to physical activity in order to improve their health and commended all for partaking in the healthwalk to improve their fitness level.
