The Regional Police Commander has visited the victims and rendered an unqualified apology to them.

A section of the Youth in Tamale have vandalized the Lamashegu police station and the Bolts River Authority, Main office.

This occurred when the Entertainment chiefs of Tamale embarked on a peaceful demonstration to present petitions to Chiefs in Tamale. The Entertainment chiefs first visited the Lamashegu Chiefs palace where the plea was presented before moving to the next palace.

Upon reaching the Lamashegu Police Station, some of the youth accompanying the chiefs begun throwing stones into the police station and in the process injured an officer.

The crowd upon reaching the Gukpegu Chief's palace met the petitioners who were inside the palace before some irate youth marched to the VRA office to vandalized three cars and some offices.

The petitioners finally headed towards the Regional Police Headquarters to present their request but upon a tip-off, a barrier was mounted with armed policemen who stopped the crowd from accessing the station.

The petition is of no importance when police officers were seen in a viral video beating some residents of Nakpazoo a suburb of Tamale. After the earlier happenings, the Regional Police Commander visited the victims and rendered an unqualified apology to them.

The Inspector-General Police also sent officers from Accra to meet the victims and arrange for them to regain their health fitness.
