She was charged for defrauding a market woman, promising to secure an Italian passport and a resident identity care for her and her daughter.

The Accra circuit court has ordered the police to re-arrest gospel musician Ohemaa Jacky after being granted bail.

Reports to Soiree News explain that the court came to the conclusion after Jacky's failure to appear in court. The musician had been declared wanted and a bench permit issued for her arrest in September. she was placed in remand for a week.

She was charged for defrauding a market woman, promising to secure an Italian passport and a resident identity care for her and her daughter.

The market woman explains that she saw an advertisement on the Facebook page of Ohemaa Jacky, and believing in her she contacted the available numbers. 

The market woman added that she had a discussion with the singer and after that, she was given two bank account numbers with the names Afuah Serwaa Dwamena and Lord Men’s Enterprisefor her to deposit an amount of €24,000. 

From the report gathered, the woman was able to raise an amount of €21,000 and deposited the money in the accounts.

After the payment, Ohemaa allegedly provided the market woman with two forged Italian resident Identity cards and two passports for her and her daughter.

The woman reported that she was arrested for presenting a fake passport at the Kotoka International Airport when she was relocating to Italy in March this year.

She later logged a complaint which led to the arrest of Ohemaa Jacky.
