Pep Guardiola seems terrified of the upcoming international break saying, "everything can change immediately" with his squad following their impressive run in all competitions involved.

The Manchester City boss says despite that, his side will approach every game with urgency as they seek to win a quadruple following their qualification into the quarter-finals of the Champions.

The Citizens on Tuesday night defeated Borussia Monchengladbach in Budapest by 2-0 to wrap up a comfortable 4-0 aggregate to revive their hopes of winning four trophies in the current season.

City are on top of the Premier League with 14 points separating them and Manchester United, with the Carabao Cup final waiting to be honoured between them and Spurs.

Pep Guardiola’s side will travel to Goodison Park to play Everton on Saturday in the FA Cup quarter-finals and according to the manager, he is not stirred by his side’s effectiveness and prefers to focus on one game after the other.

“Everyone is fit – 20 players – but everything can change immediately, in one day,” Guardiola said.

“We play one more game, then international break, and I don't know how we'll react after it. We have Leicester, Champions League, Leeds, Champions League. I don't know what will happen.

“That's why the best thing we can do is forget about the quarter-finals and just focus on playing the best way, try to win the games. If we deserve it we'll go through and if we don't we'll be out.

“Now Everton. We will see what happens in the next game and when the quarter-finals are drawn. We will see. I'm happy to be there for a fourth time and we will try to do a good game.”

Manchester City will wait till Friday, March 19, 2021, to know their next opponent in the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Guardiola’s side were eliminated in the one-legged encounter in Lisbon last season by Olympique Lyon.
