Pay keen interest in our challenges - Residents of Techiman to MCE and DCE

Some residents of both Techiman South and North have urged the new Municipal Chief Executive and District Chief Executive to pay heed to the needs of the indigents.

These comments by the people of Techiman South and North became necessary after the Techiman South Municipal Assembly Members confirmed Mr Benjamin Yaw Gyarko as the new Municipal Chief Executive whereas Mr Addo Donkor Everson was also confirmed as the new District Chief Executive of Techiman North.

Residents of these two cities initially thanked the Assembly Members for voting in and confirming the new Chief Executives.

They urged their new MMDCES to pay keen interest to the challenges facing them and solve them within the shortest possible time.
 
They further urged them to make the fixing of challenges such as sanitation, poor roads, street lighting system their main priority as soon as they are sworn in.

Mr Benjamin Yaw Gyarko received approval from the 46 Assembly Members with 39 yes and seven no's votes respectively.

The figures represented 86.7 per cent in favour and 13.3 against the MCE in an election conducted and supervised by the Municipal Office of the Electoral Commission.

Mr Gyarko on the other hand has assured the good people of Techiman that his new administration, will practice an all-inclusive administration to enable persons at the grassroots level to participate in the decision-making process for uniformed development of the area.

He also promised to prioritize the needs of the people he is bound to serve.

Mr Addo Donkor Everson on his part received a massive vote from the Techiman North Assembly Members and has also promised to channel the grievances of his people to the proper authorities.

He also assured to welcome all and sundry irrespective of their political background as a District Chief Executive for the people of Techiman North and not just a single political party.
