A preacher was detained after admitting to police that he assisted a local chief in central Ghana in kidnapping, killing, and burying a student nurse.

22-year-old Georgina Asor Botchwey vanished over a week ago, and notices were circulated in an effort to trace her.

Later, at the direction of the pastor, police exhumed her remains at the Mankessim residence of local leader Nana Clarke. Local media has not released his name.

According to Joy Online, the victim's luggage, shoes, and other belongings were also discovered at the location.

Police report that Mr. Clarke is missing and that they have started a manhunt to find him.
