First persons to be vetted on Wednesday are the Minister-designate for Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, and Minister-designate for National Security, Kan Dapaah.

Parliament to begin vetting of Minister-designates today

Vetting of ministerial appointees of President Akufo-Addo  will begin today, February 10, in Parliament.

In spite the three weeks COVID-19 induced suspension of Parliament, the Appointment Committee will still convene to consider the appointees of President Akufo-Addo in forming a government for his second term.

According to the schedule released by the Appointment Committee of the House, the process will continue till the first week of March.

The process will begin today February 10 and end on March 2. The Committee is expected to vet three nominees a day.

First to go through the processes are Minister-designate for Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, and Minister-designate for National Security, Kan Dapaah.

The Minister-designate for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta, will be vetted on February 16 alongside Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, designate for Communication and Digitisation.

Due to Covid-19 reasons, every nominee will be accompanied by only four people.
