Over 68 Communities in Skyere Central District Don't Have Access to Water and Electricity-District ChiefExecutive. 

The District Chief Executive for Sekyere Central in the Ashanti Region Honourable Kingsley Benjamin Kodua also known as Pozo has disclosed that over 68 communities in the district don't have access to water and electricity power which is making the lives of some workers difficult.

Honorable Kingsley Benjamin made this statement during the tour of the Deputy Minister for Local Governance and Regional Integrations, Honourable Augustine  Collins Ntim to the Ejura-Sekyedumasi,  Asante Mampong, Sekyere South, and ended at the Sekyere Central Districts of the Ashanti Region. 

Honorable Kingsley in his speech plead for President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo as a matter of urgency to come to their aid because some nurses and doctors in the rural areas resort to touch lights for delivery which makes their work very difficult therefore there is a need for the people in the area to be connected to the national grade of the electric power and also to provide them with portable drinking water.

On his part Honourable Augustine Collins Ntim, the Deputy Minister of Local Government who also doubles as the Offinso North Member of Parliament explained the reason behind his tour to the district.

 He said the government wants every district in the country to promote at least three products in the value change for the local economic development through the support from the government which will enable the districts to create one million jobs for the local community members.

He said, though there are a lot of challenges facing the district the Ministry will do its possible best to solve some of the challenges facing the district.
