One Suspect Arrested, Police Pursue Five Others For Murder of Oshipi of Ashalaja In Amasaman
Police in the Accra Regional Police Command has arrested one suspect while perusing five other suspects for the murder of a 42-year old man, the Oshipi of Ashalaja at Achiaman near Amasaman identified as Joshua Lartey on Sunday, March 6th, 2022.

Police in the Accra Regional Police Command has arrested one suspect while perusing five other suspects for the murder of a 42-year old man, the Oshipi of Ashalaja at Achiaman near Amasaman identified as Joshua Lartey on Sunday, March 6th, 2022.
The five suspects; Rashid Mohammed alias Gizzo, Brown Am0oah Akwanor, Nii Obene, Ayitey Animle alias Asa Brother and Mushe Akwanor are believed to attack and shot the deceased in his car while he was on his way home.
In a press statement signed by the Greater Accra Regional Public Affairs Unit of Ghana Police Service, Chief Inspector Kwabena Danso noted that the police, acting on intelligence gathered, proceeded to the house of one of the suspects, Rashid Mohammed at Sowutoum but met his absence.
According to the statement, a search conducted in the house led to the retrieval of two pump-action guns, one G3 weapon, one revolve,r, and one cap gun from a locked room.
It added that his wife, Maradia Salihu who was in the house at the time has been arrested to assist in the investigations.
However, the Police are calling on members of the general public to volunteer any credible information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects who are currently on the run.
