one dead, 4 injured in an accident at Kasoa

An uber driver and 3 pedestrians are battling for their lives after a long trailer ran over them at the Kasoa Tollbooth on the Accra Kasoa highway. The 3 are reported to be in coma while the driver who is said to have sustained various degrees of injuries, is receiving treatment.

Eye witnesses account that the long trailer carrying two heavy 40ft containers was speeding from Accra to Kasoa and upon reaching Bonegas junction, lost steer control and climbed the pavement. It collided with a Toyota Vitz with the registration number GC 8344-21 from Kasoa to Accra. One of the containers fell on a saloon car klling its occupant instantly,

The accident caused a heavy vehicular traffic for about 3hours.
