One and Half Old Boy Found Dead in a Galamsey Pit after Missing for 3 Days.

A one and a half old-year boy, Ampadu has been found dead in a galamsey pit after missing for three days at Kwahu Yaw Korkor, a farming community in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to the residents, the boy was found lying lifeless in a galamsey pit after many searches for his where about for 3 days in the area.

A section of the community has the view that the boy was killed by someone and dumped the body there since they can trace footsteps of a waletain boot where the boy was lying.

The residents expressed worry over the incident and said they are shocked about the incident because such an incident has not happened in the area before the community.

They explained that galamsey is heavily done in the area which has led to binging a lot of people from all walks of life who have migrated to the area for their daily bread.

Other people of the town claim because of that bad people have invaded the community, therefore, calling on the Ghana Police and the government to ensure the culprit is brought to book.

The grandmother of the deceased, Madam  Adjoa Twumwaa could not hold her tear after hearing the news of the demise of her grandson, she was quick to add that the police should bring the perpetrator to face the full rigours of the law.

The Assembly member of the area, Honourable Michael Osei recounted how they searched for the whereabouts of the child, but couldn't see him on the first day and eventually saw him on day two of the search party and narrated how the lifeless boy was found at the galamsey pit.
