Okyeame Kwame has stated that Kuami Eugene is his best friend in the entertainment industry.

This is coming three months after Kuami Eugene had earlier made a public admission that Okyeame Kwame is his best friend also. 

When Okyeame Kwame was asked why he chose the Lynx Entertainment signee, he admitted that it was because his colleague had initially chosen him.

“About three months ago, Kuami Eugene went for an interview and they asked him, his best friend in the industry and he said, Okyeame Kwame. So now, Kuami Eugene is my best friend,” He said.

“I talk to him all the time and I see a lot of me in him. He is young, about half my age and has energy that I envy. He moves, sings and is also passionate and driven by what he does”. He continued while speaking to Y 102.5 FM’s NYDJ on the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ Show.

He further admitted that their latest track "Yekoo" is a result of their strong bond.

“as we all know, life is not easy but we should still try to relax, especially after what we all faced last year. As we all know, 2020 was a very tough year for us and we’re still trying to fight our way out of COVID-19 so, just relax and chill”.

"But if you don’t get what I said, then it means the song was not meant for you”.

“I think the song is just a consequence of the vibe and the friendship I share with Kuami Eugene”.

if you listen to Woso and you listen to Yekoo, you’ll notice that the only difference between the two is speed or tempo because it is exactly the same song and the progression pattern is also the same. Both songs have the same idea of inspiration” he said.

He concluded by saying, “the song was just to bring hope and inspiration to everyone and remind us that, each day is a battle. And should be fought each day hoping for the best and while at it, we should also try to live the best of our lives knowing that the best is yet to come”.
