National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituencyof  the Volta Region, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, popularly known as Torgbui Worgbedzi, has sent a congratulatory message to the people in his constituency for giving him a fourth term mandate to represent them in Parliament.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Almighty God and all the people and chiefs, queen-mothers, shrine leaders, religious office holders and the students of the area who had supported me and the NDC to secure this resounding victory in the 2024 general elections," the MP- elect noted.

Addressing hundreds of NDC supporters who thronged the streets of the Mepe, Battor and Aveyime on Sunday December 8,2024 afternoon to jubilate Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa stated that he  has fulfilled his electoral campaign promised to  give NDC the widest victory votes margin in the December Saturday 7,2024 general elections.

He indicated that he has played an instrumental role in the just ended December Saturday 7,2024 general elections to ensure that the North Tongu Constituency was able to secure a 93 percent votes margin for the party in and that this votes margin secured by the constituency for the NDC was unprecedented.

"I would like thank the good people of North Tongu especially the Chiefs and elders across the constituency, for voting massively to endorse  H.E. John Dramani Mahama of 92.83% votes and Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of 93.12% Votes," he stated.

Addressing hundreds of NDC supporters who thronged the streets of the Mepe, Battor and Aveyime yesterday afternoon to jubilate, even before the Electoral Commission officially declares John Dramani Mahama as the president-elect Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa said the constituency has record the widest margin across the country, with securing 93% in total votes for the NDC, representing an increase of 4% from 2020’s result.

"I would like take this opportunity to thank Almighty God and all the people and chiefs, queen-mothers, shrine leaders, religious office holders and the students of the area who had supported me and the NDC to secure this resounding victory in the 2024 general elections.

"Today, in the North Tongu Constituency, we have set unprecedented record. Our votes margin of this resounding victory is over 93 per cent that we had secured. It has never happened before. We have realised that in 2016 general elections, when the NDC won the general elections, we have not able to record huge margin for the Presidential votes in the North Tongu and that we aren't happy and  haven't celebrated.

"In the 2020 general elections, although we won the parliamentary seat in the North Tongu former President John Dramani Mahama has not won the election because the NPP has stolen the NDC," he told the suppoters of the NDC who thronged the principal streets of Mepe and Battor to jubilate.

The stolen of the verdict by the NPP, according to the MP,  has prevented the supporters and members to feel happy," Honourable told jubilant suppoters of the NDC at Battor-Aveyime.

"But in this year, December Saturday 7,2024 general elections, the almighty God has made it that we have won the Presidential election as well as won the majority of parliamentary seats across the country. So this year, we are going to celebrate the resounding victory and that we are going to do a party and also do celebration so that the whole country will hear what we have done to celebrate the victory of the NDC in the 2024 polls," the MP announced.

"I would like to thank my respectful wife Lawyer Mrs Nuhela Seidu Ablakwa for giving me unflinching support to emerge victorious. My wife, Mrs Nuhela Seidu Ablakwa  has worked hard to  improve my campaign. I want to thank my campaign manager and chief advisor, Chairman Charles Doe.

He remained and reassured the constituents of the NDC plan in its manifesto to build a ultra-modern public university in the North Tongu District.
