Offset is mourning the loss of a relative who has died from complications of COVID-19.

"Smfh this corona shit done killed my great uncle," he wrote in an Instagram story Sunday (April 19). "Rip uncle Jerry damn man."

"Pray for my family," the rapper added in a second story update.

 

 

Offset's wife, Cardi B, spoke out about her frustration at the late closure of borders to manage the spread of the coronavirus in an Instagram live interview with Bernie Sanders.

“They put capitalism, money, trading, goods, before our health,” she said.

Cardi's "Coronavirus" rant remix recently landed on the Billboard charts. She -- along with DJ iMarkkeyz, who took the audio from one of her Instagram rants and remixed it with a hip-hop beat -- pledged to donate the all proceeds to help families affected by the pandemic.
