Ghanaian Former Black Stars striker Odartey Lamptey has won back possession of his East Legon mansion from his ex-wife after the Accra High Court ruling.

The court finally reversed an earlier decision that gave Mr. Lamptey’s mansion at East Legon to his ex-wife as they fought over the property in their divorce settlement which has spanned over 3 years.

Odartey Lamptey won a court ruling handed down on March 2 2022 for him to get back to the house.

His ex-wife Gloria was given a one-month grace period to vacate the house which has expired.

According to multiple sources, the judgment takes effect from tomorrow, April 5, 2022.

In July 2021, the former Ghana international vowed to evict his ex-wife Gloria Appiah from his mansion at East Legon after her appeal to own Odartey Lamptey’s plush East Legon was dismissed.

Gloria Appiah had sought to claim ownership of the seven-bedroom apartment as part of her alimony after their divorce but in the latest development, an Accra High Court has finally granted the ex-Black Stars player custody of his plush seven-bedroom East Legon mansion.

Lamptey who has been renting since 2014 after his wife sued to claim the house following their divorce will in no time move to his mansion and live happily with his new wife, Ruweida Yakubu who he has two children with.

Lamptey parted with his wife after discovering neither of their three children was actually his.

Their divorce settlement caused a ruckus as Odartey was ordered to give Gloria Ghc400,000 and his five-bedroom house in Dome.

Gloria insisted that she needed the East Legon mansion Odartey Lamptey purchased for $100,000 in 1999.

Gloria has been fighting to gain legal custody of the house since 2017 but has lost all her appeals.

Odartey and his new family are expected to move in tomorrow, according to sports journalist Saddick Adams Obama.

“This is a house I bought for $100,000 around 1998/1999 whilst playing in Germany, so you can imagine [my happiness].” Lamptey said.

“I was given one hour to leave the house when my ex filed for divorce. I’m extremely happy with this new ruling,” Odartey added.
