Obuasi West MP Chairs Finance Committee in Parliament

The Former Deputy Minister of Finance in Charge of Revenue and Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi West Constituency, Mr. Kwaku Agyemang Kwarteng has being removed from office and is now set to Chair the Finance Committee in Parliament.

The position was previously chaired by Dr. Mark Assibey Yeboah who lost the New Juaben South Primaries in 2020.

That as a result got no minister coming out from the Adansi enclave. It got the people gnashing their teeth at the government saying “it is unfair for Adansi to be treated that way considering the massive votes we showered on the NPP.”

However, some are satisfied with Mr. Kwaku Agyemang Kwarteng’s appointment others believe the new position occupied by the former minister is a complete demotion, the position is too low, they thought he could have been given a ministerial appointment since he was a deputy minister in the first Nana Addo's administration.
