To effectively ensure proactive measures to fight Covid--19 in the country, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Obuasi East  District Madam Faustina Amissah together with the Member of Parliament of the Area, Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom have distributed Personal Protective Equipments to traders.

Items such as nose masks and bottles of hand sanitizers were shared among the traders to help curb the spread of the pandemic Covid-19 in the district.

Speaking at Tutuka market during the handing over of the items, the DCE advised the sellers to adhere to the various covid-19 protocols to stop its spread.

The Member of Parliament for Obuasi East constituency, Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom in an interview with the media cautioned the public to stick to the safety protocols of nose mask-wearing, frequent handwashing with soap under running water, cleaning of hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizers, avoid public gathering among others.

“The current wave of COVID-19 is deleterious and highly fatal hence all must help to fight the pandemic" the MP underscored.
