Alhaji Alhassan Yakubu Sibdow, the Northern Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party has refuted claims that the Regional Executives led by Chairman Samba have manipulated the list of Metropolitan, Municipal, District Chief Executive's (MMDCE) applicants been submitted for an appointment.
Concern Youth Group of NPP in the Northern Region who accused the Regional Executives of manipulating the MMDCE's list at a Press Conference in Tamale threatened to resist any attempt to impose their favourites to occupy those positions.
The Regional Secretary, Alhaji Sibdow in a swift response challenged the youth to produce the alleged changed names or remain mute.
Alhaji Sibdow told Journalists that the allegations of manipulation are a fabrication aimed to rundown the Regional Executives.
He urged the rank and file of the party to treat the Youth Group claims with contempt.
According to him, the MMDCE's lists is still intact and nothing has changed.
The Regional Secretary who was also the Secretary to the Vetting Committee indicated that members of the committee were men of integrity and experience and can not be influenced by any group of persons or individual.
Alhaji Sibdow hinted that all those who were successful at the Vetting will be contacted in due course for the next line of action.
Alhaji Sibdow further urged members of the party in the Region to stay away from rumour-mongering when they have little or no information about an issue.
