Bice Osei Kuffour

Former president of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGHA) Bice Osei Kuffour will not represent the Asante Akyem South constituency in the upcoming General elections.

The former musician lost his bid during the Saturday primaries to incumbent Member of Parliament, Kwaku Asante Boateng.

Obour recorded 296 votes falling behind by 68 votes.

William Yamoah, Edmond Oppong Peprah, and Eric Amofa had 32, nine, and eight respectively.

The musician earlier during his campaign stated that it has always been his late father’s dream to see him become an MP in the constituency. He disclosed that with the confidence he has in delegates, the mandate will surely be given.

“If there are two things that hurt me most in this world, the death of my father will be number one. After my mother died in 2016, my father became my mum and my dad. Everyone who knows my father knows he is a father who is more than a friend, I do everything with him.

“The reason why I’m so pained is that he couldn’t wait to see the future of his son. Now that I’ve also grown to a point where I can take care of him financially so he can enjoy the fruit of his labor,” he said in an interview on Peace FM.

He will have to wait for another time to try his luck on pursuing his dream as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Asante Akyem South constituency.
