NPP primaries brouhaha: P.K Sarpong rubbishes claim of his endorsement for Ayensu.

Socialite and NPP Mogul,  P.K Sarpong has rubbished claims that he has declared his support for Stephen Ayensu Ntim on the Chairman

ship race of the New Patriotic  Party (NPP).
In a piece of the article cited by Soiree News, the man who tags himself as a critical thinker accused supporters of the Alan camp of trying to use him to make “chief Alan” popular going into the Party’s 2024 presidential candidate race.
BELOW IS THE FULL PIECE
I have come across posts that seek to draw inferences from a piece I have written about Stephen Ayesu Ntim to be elected as the party’s National Chairman.

In their haste to make a case for Chief Alan to be considered for the party’s presidential candidate going into 2024, they make the point that I said Mr Ntim has been consistent and around for many years.

To this end, they say the same yardstick has to be accorded, Chief Alan. Their argument is fundamentally flawed.

I did not ask for Ntim to be voted for just for the simple reason that he has been contesting for this position for years.

Ntim was the First Vice-Chairman under President Kuffuor. That’s where he built his experience from. As far as we all can tell, Chief Alan hasn’t been a running mate before, let alone a Vice President for two consecutive terms.
Bawumia has the experience at the Presidency as the Vice President of the Republic, Chief Alan doesn’t have this. They have also forgotten that Chairman Blay came from ‘nowhere’ as they put it, to win against Mr Ntim. This renders their point ineffective.

I am not advocating that Ntim should be voted for merely because he has been contesting consistently or has been around for years. I am asking for him to be elected because I believe he has learnt the ropes when he was a vice-chairman.
It is important to also emphasize that if this race is contingent on which person has been around for years or contested in the presidential primaries first, then that accolade should go to Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, for he was with Kuffuor and Nana Addo in the 90s.
Our brothers should not lose sight of the adage that there may have been elders when a king is born, it doesn’t necessarily make one of the elders a prime candidate for the kingship.
was elevated, justifiable so, over Chief Alan. Bawumia is in the lead. He is my favourite. If Chief Alan appeals to the delegates, they’d be angling for him to come, but as we all can see, Dr Bawumia is the one they believe in and would want to lead us into the next elections. The will of the people is the will of God. Let us not fight God, He is omnipotent.
I entreat our brothers to abandon this age phraseology and bring forth more convincing messages.
