The new Patriotic Party Members of Parliament in the early hours of Friday reported to the house to claim majority position of the legislative arm of government.

A female newly elected member of parliament for Ablekuma  North, Honorable Shiala Bathez wrote on her Facebook account that she was in the house as early as 4:00 am to claim their rightful place in parliament.

Meanwhile, it's 11:00 am in the forenoon the house is still not seated to transact business.

Normally, the Members of Parliament sit at 10:00 in the forenoon and closes at 2:00 pm daily until it was announced by the speaker to do business beyond the stipulated time.

Today will be the first sitting of the first meeting of the 8th parliament of the 4th republic on this day of 15th January 2021
