In relation to Soireenews publication dated 13/7/2021, titled "The Untold Story of Health Personnel in the Northern Region" concerning happenings at the Regional Health Directorate, a worker at the facility had denied all allegations.

Responding to the article via a voice recording, a Medical Lab Technician at the Directorate, Mr Ebenezer Quayson refuted those claims, stating that all the allegations levelled against the Human Resource and some of the administrative members are false and should be treated as made-up.

According to him some of the challenges raised are often solved at the Ministry of Health, and not at the Regional level.

"If somebody submits a document and there is a problem, probably it might not be their duty to solve from here, they have to also forward it to Ministry of Health to be rectified and work on it before the person get what he/she is looking for," Ebenezer Quayeson cleared.

"If I need a study leave, I have to go to my facility and apply from there send it to my District and they will approve, send it to the Region, the Region has to approve, forward it to Accra to be endorsed before I can start the school.

"Now, some people who have started the course along the way trying to seek for help, but the system doesn't work like that, so if the system does not approve their dealings and you go, do you expect the person to perform magic for you, no they can't," he said.

Mr Ebenezer noted that the accused people are doing very well to ensure the smooth running of the office.

He further indicated that some of the health personnel on several occasions failed to participate in the biometric registration process at the Directorate.

"If you are supposed to undertake a biometric process and you didn't show up, in the next set your name may not be appearing, so far as your name may not appear what you have to do is that, you either have to report and then they will arrange for you to go to Accra because the biometric team are in Accra".

He, therefore, mentioned that when a Personnel fails to undertake the biometric registration in Tamale, the Human Resource cannot be faulted nor any of the administrative staff.

"They have even done their best to arrange for the biometric team to come to your doorsteps. If health personnel at their own comfort declines to partake in the process, you'll have to find your way out and go through the biometric process and then bring your details, because, in the first place, they arranged for them to come and you couldn't do".

He also denied the claims of putting some of the health Personnel under stress, affirming that he never went through any stress as a staff.
