Top Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, premiered her latest work 'Legend of Inikpi' an Epic Movie at the Silverbird Galleria.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie, stated that making her new film, 'The Legend Of Inikpi', scared her because of how different it is. She said this at the premiere of the film which took place at the Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX, Lekki on Sunday, January 19, 2020.

She stated: "Making this movie, when I chose an epic story, I was extremely scared because usually with us here, we like it flashy and we like comedy.

"My manager said, 'You should have done a comedy, everybody thinks you're funny.'

"And I said, 'No. I want to tell our stories. I want to do something different.'

"And I'm so grateful that this came out well."

The theme of the dress code which has now become a norms for Nollywood movie premieres was 'Epic in Gold'.

But unlike other movies such as, Funke Akindele's 'Your Excellency' and Jade Osiberu ' Sugar Rush' premiere where Nollywood stars stepped out in beautiful attires with the intentions of out doing one another.

They actually shun, Mercy Johnson's premiere. Their absence was conspicuously noticeable.

Except some of the 2019, 'Pepper Dem' housemate be like, Ike, Diane, Mercy, who graceed the event.

However, Mercy Johnson's fans, have took to social media to express their disappoint at the actress colleagues.

Some of them cited jealousy for their absence from the movie.

The claimed that Mercy has what most of them lacks and wanted.

The said that, Mercy has a good home, beautiful children, good business and a soaring career.

They said some of them especially, the female are jealous because she recently a multimillion Naira hotel, something many of them only dreamt of having in their dreams
