The President of the Ghana Progressive Hairdressers and Beauticians Association has cautioned Ghanaians who belittle artisanship to change their minds and start respecting apprenticeship.

Madam Faustina Bawuni, the Atwima Mponua district President of the association has said she wonders why some people belittle artisanship or apprenticeship. According to her it's a big mistake and so sad for people to underrate the profession.

She shockingly revealed that no work can be compared to training in terms of freedom and success.

"I can confidently tell you that no work on this earth gives freedom than being a master from apprenticeship. This is the hard truth I must tell everyone. It's my humble advice to those who underrate apprenticeship to change their minds, and those who don't want to engage in apprenticeship should also change their minds".

The President said this in an interview with this reporter when the Ntobroso branch of the association was officially launched.

Explaining the need for the association, the President indicated that the existence of the association has help members to reach the government and other authorities through a unified channel. She however entreated the rest to join the association in order to enjoy the simple benefits.

Many dignities such as the chiefs and their, queen mothers, honourable members and a host of many others graced the program.

On his part, assembly member of the area, Hon. Charles E.K Nsia aka Charlesee expressed joy over the move made by the association. He however commended the leadership and promised to support them in every endeavour.

The honourable member took the opportunity to advise people to desist from underrating apprenticeship. He said it makes no sense for an individual to neither go to school nor learn apprenticeship.
