Contrary to reports yesterday, President Muhammadu Buhari will not be addressing the nation tonight.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina made this known via his Twitter account on Monday, May 18, 2020.

Adesina tweeted; "No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.

According to him, the Presidential Task Force will hold its usual media briefings where it will update the nation on the necessary steps to be taken in the fight against COVID-19.
