The School in the Eastern Region had in their possession PPEs supplied by the government last year, which aided them in the absence of new ones.

Nkurakan MA Junior High School in the Yilo-Krobo Municipal Assembly has been confirmed as the best schools in the Eastern Region to adhere to Covid-19 protocols.

A tour to the most part of the Region after days of reopening school has revealed that most schools are yet to receive  Personal Protective Equipments proposed by government but Nkurakan JHS used subtle means to provide for themselves the needed items for the safety of students.

A member of the Nkurakan M/A School Parents Teachers Association (PTA) revealed to William Ofori that most of the Veronica buckets were distributed before the reopening last term of the 2020 academic year for the then final year students, and management of the school saw it important to keep it safe for the next academic year hence their availability.

He appealed to the government and the Municipal Assembly to speed up with their distribution of Covid 19 PPEs in order for the school to have a conducive environment for learning.

He urged his colleague parents to encourage their wards on the observations of covid-19 health protocols both at home and at school.
