The Nkoranza South municipality of the Bono East region has recorded 19 active cases of the new delta variant with one person succumbing to the virus, according to the Health Director, Dr Emmanuel Tevie.

Per his report, the Municipality on Saturday recorded five COVID-19 cases of which contact tracing is been carried out.

Speaking to the media, Dr Tevie indicated that samples have been sent to the Kintampo Health Research Center for testing.
