Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), won a polling unit in Adamawa State after the announcement of the result.

Adamawa is known to be the stronghold of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

At Adamawa: PU35, Karewa, Yola north LGA, Obi polled 120 votes, while Atiku scored 82 votes and the All Progressives Party, APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, got 26 votes, the Presidential candidate of NNPP polled 2 votes.

Meanwhile, at Atiku’s polling unit in Ajiya Ward, Old GRA, Jimeta, where the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Mohammed Bello, also voted, he scored impressive votes to record a historic first win of his unit since 2007 when he started seeking to be president.

At his Ajiya Ward 012 unit, the PDP flagbearer got 282 votes against 57 votes for the APC, 6 for LP, and 1 for NNPP.

Also, Peter Obi won with 104 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress at the polling unit 015, Kurumbo Ward B of Shendam Local Government Area of Director-General of Tinubu Campaign Organisation and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong.

Lalong, who is also contesting for the Senatorial District of Plateau South in Saturday’s election, voted at Unit 015 located at the LEA Primary School Ajikamai.

The presiding officer of the unit, Sowan Stephen, who announced the results explained that the Labour Party got 104 votes while Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress got 88 votes with Atiku of the PDP having 8 votes.
