Nigel Gaisie: "National Cathedral is a loss of money and garbage"

The government has come under fire from prophet Nigel Gaisie for what he sees as a misplaced focus and financial waste in the building of the National Cathedral.

The founder and general overseer of Prophetic Hill Chapel International called the endeavor a disaster and a waste of the country's meager resources during an interview on Happy FM.

He claims that despite the government investing a lot of money in the Cathedral's construction, all that is visible at the location is a pit.

This is the reason why I occasionally adored the late President Rawlings. With the utmost respect, let's just state that something is garbage when it is garbage. Will you immediately accept what they are doing in Ghana if Ghana were your infant (company)?

"We are destroying Ghana's prospects for future generations. Consider how much money they spent on the endeavor when all that is left is the pit that is visible. They are lying to us.

He thinks the money used for the project could have been better used in other areas of the economy to better the lives of Ghanaians who are wailing over their growing hardship.

"Young members of the NPP (New Patriotic Party), who must stand and tell the truth, support it when we discuss these problems. You see people assaulting those of us who are trouble-free, those of us who don't struggle to eat every day, he said in Twi.

"The National Church is an absolute catastrophe. Is this how you intend to treat the National Cathedral if Ghana was your investment? The oracle said it again.
