Newmont Gold support Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council
Honourable George Boakye further appealed to Newmont Ghana Company Limited Ahafo Mines to assist them to employ the youth in the upcoming youth entrepreneurship program.

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Honourable George Boakye has received office supplies from the Newmont Ghana Company Limited Ahafo Mines at the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council at Goaso.
The items include; five (5) office desks, five (5) office tables, twenty-five (25) desktop computers with accessories, worth Ghc 36,500.
During a short ceremony to present the items, Mr Emmanuel Ato Aubynn, Social Responsibility Manager of the Newmont Ghana Company Limited, Ahafo mines, indicated that the items were being presented to the RCC upon its request in order to enhance the attainment of its core mandate.
Honourable George Boakye upon receiving the items and on behalf of the Chief Director of the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Mr Ebenezer Amoah, as well as the Senior Staff of the RCC expressed gratitude to the Newmont company for their timely donations.
The Ahafo Regional Minister stated that the items will be put into good use to ensure that the purpose for the donation will be fulfilled.
He commended the management of the Newmont for keeping such a good relationship with the Ahafo RCC though very new in the system and urged them to keep it.
He also reassured the company of his office's full support to their activities and charge them to always seek for the welfare of the people of Ahafo.
Honourable George Boakye again appealed to the company to as a matter of urgency consider his other request since he is getting ready to launch the youth entrepreneurship program in November this year.
