New North Tongu DCE Victoria Yawa Amefadzi Doe Promises To Revamp Juapong Textile Factory

Newly-appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu District Assembly in the Volta Region, Madam Victoria Yawa Amefadzi Doe has stated that Juapong Textile Factory would soon be revamped to supplement her vision to create sustainable jobs in the district.

She indicated her commitment to ensure the construction of the Volivo Bridge to boost economic growth, equping health providing facilities, improving in the educational sector, connecting water to various communities without potable drinking water, maintenance of roads amongst others.

 She urged everyone to come on board to bring ideas to develop the North Tongu District.

Madam Doe gave assurance when she has been endorsed as a news the District Chief Executive 
for the North Tongu District, securing 41 votes out of 42 votes cast, representing a 97.6 per cent endorsement by the Assembly members.

Her confirmation was greeted with resounding joy
by thousands of residents of Mepe Traditional Area following the appointment of their native, Madam Victoria Yawa Amefadzi Doe, as the new DCE for the North Tongu District Assembly.  

The Mepe Reform Union (MRU), alongside community members, extended heartfelt congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his pledge to appoint a Mepe citizen to the DCE role. 

This milestone marks the first time a member of the Mepe Traditional Area has been appointed to the position since the inception of the Fourth Republic in 1992.  

Madam Doe’s appointment has ignited hope for accelerated recovery and inclusive growth in the district, with residents pledging support for her vision of dedicated and integrity-driven leadership.

Madam Doe's confirmation marks a new chapter for the district, as she has pledged to drive economic transformation, particularly through agribusiness and infrastructure development.

In her acceptance speech, Madam Doe expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the people of District for their confidence in her leadership. 

Her outlined his vision to modernise agriculture, tackle unemployment, and foster economic growth in line with the NDC’s 24-hour economy policy.

She called on all stakeholders, including traditional leaders, political actors, civil society organisations, and citizens, to unite in advancing North Tongu District's development agenda.
