New Edubiase NPP Youths Accuse DCE Of Neglecting His Official Duty For Lottery

Some Youths of the New Patriotic Party in the Adansi south district (New Edubiase) has accused their District Chief Executive (DCE) Honourable Francis Kwabena Ankomah of neglecting his official duty assigned to him by President Akufo Addo to engage in the lottery business.

In a press conference organised by the group, addressed by their spokesperson, Bright Dughan, they accused the DCE, Francis Ankoma of being heavily involved in galamsey defeating the president's fight against the menace and causing disunity in the ranks and files of the New Patriotic Party in the Adansi South constituency.

But to them, the last straw that breaks the camel's back is the fact that the DCE instead of focusing and concentrating on his assigned job, is rather focused on his lotto business.

The group alleged that Honourable Ankomah always uses his official car given him by the government, for his lotto rounds honking to beat traffic so he can get to close his lotto business on time, thereby making him unproductive in the business of the district.

The youths are thereby calling on the president and relevant authorities in the party to axe him from his position.

CONCERN NPP FOOT SOLDIERS OF NEW EDUBIASE  ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT PRESS RELEASE

We undersigned/thumbprint leaders of the above members wish to express our crave destine concern and appeal to the President of the Republic of Ghana not re-appoint the District Chief Executive of Adansi South District Hon. Francis Ankomah because

He failed to retain the had won parliamentary seat eluded us since 1992.

To start with, We won the seat through unity and hard work when Hon. George Oduru was elected as Parliamentary Candidate in 2015 we all joined hands and was able to unset NDC in 2016 election. In 2017 Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo the President appoint Hon, Francis Ankomah As DCE in his own wisdom. We disagree with the decision of the President but was no avail.

When he (DCE) took office he failed to maintain the unity because he openly came out to support the incumbent constituency Chairman in the constituency primaries in 2018.

The DCE was among the panel who sat during the vetting day of the candidates who applied for the position of Constituency Chairman. He unlawfully disqualified the people’s choice Mr Kofi Ninson Appiagyei. He was disqualified without any tangible reason.

Mr Kofi Ninson Appiagyei went the vetting after the ballot for the position he chooses No. 1 on the ballot paper.

After the vetting he started his campaign for more than one month, He spent over Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢100,000.00). He was disqualified three (3) days when the ballot papers came out, His picture was nowhere to be found.

This made his large supporters became disappointed in the party leadership especially the DCE who sat as a vetting panel member to vet his own constituency to make sure that Mr. Kofi Ninson Appiagyei gets disqualified. If you want to disqualify a candidate, you must let him or her know after the vetting and not to let him spent huge sums of money for campaigning.

When his large followers saw that the DCE dubiously disqualified Mr. Kofi Ninson Appiagyei the matter was a petition in the court and an injunction was place on the said election.
On the day of the election, Electoral Commission did not turn-up because of the injunction. The DCE, MP and Party Chairman of the Constituency defied the orders of the court and went ahead to use paper boxes and held the election with any supervision of the electoral commission, this added more insult to the injury.

The matter was sent to court for the hearing. The court took one year before judgment after contempt of court. The petitioners were guilty afterwards and the whole constituency was quiet and remain as fire in the refuse. After the case, the MP, DCE came in for a peaceful settlement of the difference. 
Again, the DCE was not regular at his office. The DCE did not fully involve himself in the 2020 election campaign.

The DCE who supposed to campaign in the absence of MP failed to do so. His Human relationship is nothing to write home about. 
ON GALAMSEY

Mr Ahoto George Padmond, the NPP Chairman for Bremu Aboye Electoral Area received a call from the NDC Chairman raising the concern that he has seen some people doing Galamsey on River Abremu and River Pra. I also called the New Edubiase Constituency Chairman to report the situation. The New Edubiase Constituency Chairman also called the DCE of Adansi South to report the situation at Bremu Aboye. The DCE later called the District Commander of Police which led to the ceasing of the machines for the mining.

A few days later I was called on the phone by one of the leaders which lead the galamsey telling me to help him get back his ceased machines and I told them that I have no power to regain their ceased machines but we but should go the District Police Command. After there I called the District Police Commander to report the situation, he advised me to take them to the DCE for which I later told them and they agreed to go with me.
Upon reaching the office of the DCE, he requested their documents concerning the acquisition of the Machines for which they said they had left them at home. And the DCE asked them to bring them the following day.

The next day that they went to the DCE, I wasn’t there to witness what went on.
After some period of time, I saw that the machines that we ceased were in operation on the same rivers (River Abremu and River Pra), which was very shocking to me so I went forward to the leader of the mining and asked them how come there are still working here. To my outermost dismay, He said he has giving money to the DCE and as a result of this the galamsey is going on at this very moment.

This implies that the DCE is very corrupt and takes bribe to promote evil deeds that the entire country is fighting against.  

The DCE is a major threat to the administration of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo in fighting against galamsey. 

ABUSE OF THE USE OF STATE VEHICLE

Before Hon. Francis Kwabena Ankomah was appointed as DCE, he was a Lotto Agent which every Monday he goes to Kumasi to “close” his lotto and as at now that he is the DCE he hasn’t stop. He uses state Vehicles to go to Kumasi every Monday and as a result he uses the siren and has affected his stay in the office.  

In conclusion, we are appealing to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to consider another person who is more competent, humble, respectful, innovative, visionary and people’s choice to replace Hon. Francis Kwabena Ankomah (DCE).
