The former member of Parliament for the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency in the Western North Region, Honorable Paul Evans Aidoo, has stated emphatically that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is going to win the seat come 2024 general elections.
He declared winning the sefwi Wiawso seat is not open to argument.
The astute politician cum educationist noted that the New Patriotic Party has done zero work for the region, believing it will be difficult for them to retain the sefwi Wiawso seat.
He affirmed the NPP have failed to continue the jobs the former President John Mahama government started for the region and perhaps the Wiawso constituency.
“Ghanaians are fed up with the NPP. We established all the secondary schools in the region under the NDC government, moreover, a lot of cocoa farmers in the region have been sending their cocoa beans to Ivory coast because the government is cheating on these poor farmers and even no money in the system to buy the cocoa beans. The NPP government has contributed nothing to the region and I believe we will have an enormous victory in the 2024 general elections’’.
“Unity is all what is necessary. Let us forgive and forget. We cannot fight ourselves whilst we want to win power. I will urge the supporters of the other aspirants who lost to remain calm and supportive in order to help achieve our goals,” he noted.
The former western regional minister calls the bluff the so-called school feeding program, calling it a collapse policy.
He seized the opportunity to applaud the security apparatus, officials, and staff of the Electoral Commission, as well as the delegates and party executives/supporters for a calm and successful primary nationwide.
“I think we had a free and fair and transparent elections nationwide. This is exactly what we want to see in 2024 so that the voters can elect their choice of candidates to lead them, however I want to thank the security apparatus, EC and other stakeholders for their professional conduct. I will urge all parliamentary candidates and supporters to ensure we do away with our differences after the primaries and fight for victory ahead of the general elections,” he noted.
