NDC Vows to Resist Military Intervention in Upcoming Polls
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a strong warning that it will resist any attempts by the military to intervene in the upcoming polls.
In a statement released by the party's leadership in Awutu Senya East, the NDC emphasized its commitment to democratic principles and the rule of law.
"The NDC will not stand idly by if the military attempts to subvert the democratic process," the statement read. "We will resist any such attempts with all lawful means necessary to ensure that the will of the people is respected."
The party's leadership called on the security agencies to remain impartial and neutral in the electoral process, adding that any attempts to compromise the integrity of the polls would be met with fierce resistance.
The NDC's stance comes amid concerns about potential military involvement in the upcoming polls.
The party has vowed to protect the democratic gains made by the country and ensure that the elections are free, fair, and peaceful.
"We will not allow any external forces to compromise the democratic process," the statement concluded. "The power belongs to the people, and we will defend it."
