Former New Patriotic Party USA Deputy Organizer, Alhaji Ali Suraj has condemned the violent clash between the youth and security personnel which led to the death of three including Kaaka at Ejura.

He has consequently accused the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of orchestrating the violence to take advantage of the innocent Zongo people.

“I condemn the incident at Ejura. Anyone who did that should be convicted to prevent such from happening again,” he told Soireenews.

“It could be that NDC orchestrated the act in order to score political points judging from the demonstration that followed after the conflict and to me it doesn’t make sense.”

Alhaji Ali Suraj notified that Ghanaians must see the NDC as a life-threatening party for the reason that they can do anything including hurting lives to claim power.

He questioned that upon the uncertainties the country is going through, why did the NDC choose to remain silent until the recent brutalities meted out in the northern part of the Ashanti Region? He told that the best way nerves would have calm after the death of Kaaka was for the opposition party to claim some responsibilities of the deceased instead of fueling hostility.

“Ghanaians must know that we are in a serious country but the NDC as serious political is joking too much.

“As leaders of the biggest opposition party, instead of rebuilding and organizing a peaceful way to meet the family of Kaaka to claim some responsibility, they are rather taking advantage of the innocent Zongo people of Ghana.

"When we talk about insecurities, this is not the first time it’s happening in Ghana. There are lots of insecurities including the Kasoa young boy’s murder, why didn’t NDC demonstrate that?

“Secondly, a Zongoman shot his neighbour at the NDC general party headquarter in the Ashanti Region in the presence of the general secretary, (Aseidu Nketiah) is that not insecurity and why didn’t the NDC demonstrate that?

"A lot happened in their time yet there was no protest and that tells you that what is going was orchestrated by the NDC for political points.

“We have no evidence now, the committee is doing good work and when all is done, we shall know who is to blame and who is not.”
