NDC Alleges Deployment Of Soldiers To Influence Voter Registration
THE National Democratic Congress (NDC)
has raised alarming allegations that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by President Nana Addo Dankwa  Akufo-Addo/Bawumia has deployed 71 soldiers to re-register their names on the voter registration list at Winneba.
This criminal act is seen as a blatant attempt to manipulate the electoral process and undermine the integrity of the voter registration exercise conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana.
According to the NDC, the soldiers were
seen at various registration centers, allegedly facilitating the re-registration of soldiers and their families.
This raises serious concerns about the potential for voter suppression, intimidation, and fraud.
The NDC is calling on the Electoral Commission and the Ghana Armed Force (GAF) and other security agencies to investigate this matter urgently and take appropriate action to prevent any further interference in the voter registration process.
The party is also demanding that the soldiers be withdrawn from the registration centers immediately.
This development has sparked outrage and fears about the credibility of the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The NDC is urging all stakeholders to remain vigilant and ensure that the electoral process is free, fair, and transparent.
