As part of the 2023 Wear Ghana Festival Campaign, the National Commission on Culture has lined up activities to mark the month-long commemorations.

In a press release copied to Soireenews.com, the Commission has expressed its resolve to reach out to the general public with well-designed educational activities during this year's heritage month celebration. The activities, according to the Commission earmarked for the Campaign include the Aayalolo Festival, Akwaaba Festival, Theme Week, Fashion Conference, Fugu Hub, and Schools' Outreach Programme which will take place at the Kanda Cluster of Schools on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, and Firm Foundation School at Amasaman on Thursday, March 16, 2023. The Schools' Outreach Programme, the Commission indicated will seek to interact with pupils to showcase and promote Ghana’s Cultural Heritage.

Additionally, the Commission seeks to sensitize learners to recognize and acknowledge creativity in the Fashion Industry. Dubbed ’Wear Ghana for Jobs in Ghana, the month of March has annually been dedicated by the Commission for purpose of increasing advocacy on Made- in- Ghana Products, Fabrics, and Services, empowering the youth to venture into the creative fields, to showcase their distinct and unique skills in creating jobs. Also, the Commission intends to sensitize the masses to Ghanaian-made products. The aim, according to the Commission, is to accelerate the socioeconomic development of the country through culture. "One major way of preserving our Cultural Heritage and Traditions, and upholding the integrity of our Ghanaian Culture is to promote our rich Ghanaian Wear and accessories for socio-cultural development, as well as increasing awareness to build confidence in what we have as a People", the statement read. To advance publicity of Ghana Month, Tellium Industries and other partners have donated assorted materials to the Commission. The Commission is thrilled to work with some of the leading Product Manufacturers in Ghana such as Twellium Industrial Company, Arla Foods Ltd-Ghana, the producers of Dano Milk; and PZ Cussons who are on board as Sponsors. The Sponsors have so far donated products such as Rush Energy Drink, Lafya, Bingo, Verna Mineral Water, and Mcberry products towards the Campaign. The presentation was made to the Executive Director of the National Commission on Culture Madam Janet Edna Nyame on behalf of the Commission. "The advocacy cannot succeed without the generosity of such wonderful supporters like our Sponsors. Their contributions are therefore vital to the continuation of the Wear Ghana Campaign", the Commission acknowledged. "Let us continue to portray our rich Ghanaian identity to the world through what we Wear; Wear Ghana, Hyè Wodeè!", it further urged.
