The Ahafo Regional branch of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), says it has embarked on educating students in the region against being lured into killing for money and its other related activities.

This comes after two teenagers between the ages of 18 and 19 were arrested last week for murdering an 11-year-old neighbour after they were directed by a witch doctor for money rituals. The incident happened at Kasoa, Great Lamptey in the Awutu Senya East Municipal of the Central Region.

Speaking to the Ahafo Regional Director for the NCCE, Mr Eric Adu told soiree News, that the commission has begun educating students in the region to focus on their education to pass their exams successfully at all levels for a brighter future.

According to him, the youth must not pay attention to big cars and other lavish lifestyles possessed by neighbours which is the main cause of money rituals that has become prevalent in society.

He informed there are laws for the juvenile who engage themselves in such activities, therefore the youth must avoid such criminal acts and quit developing a passion for quick money.

He also narrated the challenges facing the commission as a result of the infant region.
