The NCCE encouraged teachers in the Ahafo Region to adhere to the various health protocols of coronavirus.

The Ahafo Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Eric Adu has charged teachers in Ahafo Region to lead an exemplary life in the fight against Covid-19.

"Teachers must lead in exemplary life in schools," he said.

"As teachers, you must do regular hand washing, wear nose mask, use of hand sanitiser, practice social distancing for the pupils to learn."

Mr Eric Adu in an interview with Soireenews in Goaso said the NCCE in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service has formed Covid-19 rapid response team to embark on a school to school, lorry stations, market centres and worship centres to rekindle the campaign of Covid-19 safety protocols.

He advised students and teachers to understand and appreciate the link between good environmental governance practices and the national war to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

He told that World Health Organisation and the Ghana Health Service COVID-19 preventive protocols were based on healthy environmental practices; washing of hands under running water, sneezing and coughing etiquettes, regular use of hand sanitisers and social distancing.

Mr Eric Adu also called for proper disposal of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), to ensure that it did not become playing tools for kids.

He, therefore, appealed to Asunafo North Municipal Assembly to provide waste bins at vantage points to maintain good environmental governance practices.
