Corruption Scandal: Jaman South MCE Blows Whopping GH¢ 30,000 On Alcoholic Drinks In Just Two Weeks

Municipal Chief Executive Officer for Jaman South Honorable. Andrews S. Bediako Blows One Hundred Thirty-one Ghana cedis (GH₵131,000.00) on alcoholic drinks in just 2 months. 

Leaked voices emanating from the office of Jaman South MCE which is in our possession indicate that, the MCE for Jaman South Municipal, Honorable. Andrews Bediako for March and April 2022 spent an amount of GH₵131,000.00 on alcoholic drinks such as ''Jonny Walker (gold and black labels)'', ''Cognac'', ''Red wine'', ''Jack Daniels'', ''Hennessey (VSOP)'', ''black label'','' Star beer'', Gulder', 'Guinness' to mention but a few.

We are therefore by this release appealing to the President of the land, H.E  Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo to expedite action by investigating this scandal and if found guilty should be removed from office with immediate effect 

Though we are not oblivious to the fact that, other appointees in this government who indulged in similar scandals have been left off the hook but this particular case cannot be swept under the carpet because the people of Jaman South will not sit unconcern for their internally generated funds (IGF) to be wasted on alcoholic drinks to the detriment of developmental projects such as good roads, good drinking water, electricity extension as well as health and school facilities.

As a responsible opposition party in the municipality, we are duty-bound to commend duty-bounded where necessary and to expose it within the municipality when the need arises.

Jaman South is a municipality but cannot compare itself to its peers namely, Berekum East, Dormaa Central, Wenchi, and Sunyani  Municipalities in terms of development.

It is as a result of these developmental challenges that the former MP was booted out of office for sleeping on his responsibilities during the 12 years he spent in Parliament 
 
Whilst the current MP is Honorable.  Williams Okofo-assiduously raking in developmental projects such as electricity extension, putting up new schools and renovating old ones as well as giving water to the rural folks putting up health facilities, and also ring for our younger ones in the tertiary institutions, the MCE, Honorable. Andrews Bediako is busily wasting our hardearnedInternally generated revenue on alcoholic drinks.

The youth of Jaman South will be on the street to stage a peaceful demonstration to demand accountability and the removal of the MCE from office Bina a week if the authorities failed o act on this scandal.
