Nana Addo Dankwa has applauded Ghanaian farmers and fishfolk for their hard work, perseverance and cooperation with government to build a better Nation.

The 6th of December is earmarked as ‘Farmers Day’ on the national calendar to celebrate stakeholders of the Agricultural sector for their efforts in feeding the nation throughout the year. As today, December 6th, 2019 marks the 35 th Farmers Day celebration in Ghana, the president took to his social media handlers to commend the works of the food growers.

 

 

“Today is one of the most important holidays on the national calendar – Farmers; Dat, currently in its 35 the year celebration. Farmers and fisherfolk in Ghana are the focus of national attention, because we all agree that it is worth honoring them each year for their great dedication to the well-being of our nation.

“I salute all farmers and fisherfolk and award winners across the country for their hardwork, perseverance and co-operation with government agencies during the course of the year, I urge them to build on their success and move on to even greater heights in the years ahead.
