NALAG Elects Zabzugu DCE as Northern Region Representative

The District Chief Executive officer of Zabzugu, Honourable Iddrisu Abubakari has been elected as the Northern Regional representative of the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG).

He went into the contest with the District Chief Executive of Gushegu and emerged victorious at the close of polls.

Honorable Iddrisu addressing the gathering promised to be loyal to all members and as well safeguard the Association's working plan.

He assured members of his commitment to uplift the image of the Association to high esteem.

He further called for collaboration and unity among members.

The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) is a nationwide organization and the mouthpiece of all Local Authorities (Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts Assemblies – MMDAs) in Ghana.

The Association Vision Statement

The Association promotes high standards and best practices in local governance and decentralization.

Also, the Association promotes the development of Local government administration and decentralization in Ghana through Advocacy and Lobbying.

It protects the rights, privileges, and interests of all member District Assemblies as may be affected by existing and future legislation or policies.

Provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas, experience, and information on matters of mutual interest related to local government and decentralization.
