The project which was initiated by the Member of Parliament, Honourable Bismark Tetteh Nyarko at the request of the people was assisted by DKT AWA International, an NGO.

MP Bismark Tetteh Nyarko Builds CHPS Compound At Aframase To Promote Primary Healthcare 

Aframase, a deprived farming community in the Upper Manya Krobo District in the Eastern Region has benefited from a health facility.

The project which was initiated by the Member of Parliament, Honourable Bismark Tetteh Nyarko at the request of the people was assisted by DKT AWA International, an NGO.

The MP started the project with a plot of land and building materials while the NGO funded to completion.

According to the Country Director of DKT AWA, Mr Alex K Brown, the Aframase CHPS compound is built in memory of the Founder, Mr Phil Harvey.

The MP, Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko was so appreciative of the timely intervention of the NGO to augment his efforts.


"Over 80% of communities in my constituency are deprived due to the lack of potable water, health facilities or motorable roads. Your interventions in this regard will be welcomed." The MP stressed. 


Mr Alex K Brown was full of praise at the efforts of the MP at bringing development to the doorsteps of the people.

Dr Claudette DIOGO, a representative of the Ghana Health Service Family Health Division tasked the beneficiary Community to keep the culture of maintenance.


Nene Ta Gbadja, chief of Asesewa who chaired the function commended the ingenuity and vision of the MP to bringing development to the Upper Manya Krobo constituency.

He also urged the NGO to come to the aid of more deprived communities.


Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were a representative of the NGO from Liberia, Mr Daniel Mamim, Global CEO of DKT AWA Int. the District Director of Health Services and several Dademantsemei from nearby communities.
