Mozambican caught 'planning albino children sale'

According to authorities, a father who allegedly wanted to sell his three albino children was detained in Mozambique while haggling over the price.

The 39-year-old man and his 34-year-old brother were detained in the western Tete province. The claim has been rejected, the police say.

In this nation, albinos have been murdered for their body parts, which are then used in rituals.

Two other alleged buyers, according to police spokesman Feliciano da Câmara, are also in their custody.

He claimed that the three kids, who ranged in age from nine to sixteen, had been kidnapped from their house and were being held captive while their price was being discussed.

The police spokesman stated, "The sale was to be conducted for over $39,100 (£32,400)."

“We took steps and located the two individuals in Angónia who confirmed plans for the deal," he added.
