Dele Alli is in good terms with Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese confirmed.

The Spurs midfielder’s move to Paris Saint Germain was blocked in the January transfer window because the English club did not have his replacement.

Spurs were in talks with Inter Milan over a loan deal for Christian Eriksen yet nothing materialized which affected the transfer of the 24-year old.

TalkSPORTS reports that Alli had frozen out with his manager but Mourinho's meeting with the midfielder settled any misunderstanding between them.

“I had a good conversation with him yesterday, we spoke about this question you asked me and we found very common ground, let's say.

“It's an important period of the season for the team and him, also. We need him. We need a good Dele Alli and we're just waiting for him to be back to normality and training with the team.

“It's not just Dele. It's Dele, Kane, Gio Lo Celso. And without all three we miss a little bit of creation and magic in the attacking areas. So we need him back and I made that sure to him.”

Spurs have suffered back to back defeats against Liverpool and Brighton. They play Chelsea on Thursday at home and a win is required to boost their top-four chances.

They have already lost Harry Kane to injury during their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool last Thursday.

In Mourinho’s latest injury update, the prolific striker should be fit by next week.

“Good progress, he's happy with the progress and of course we're happy too,” he said. “I think it's not a very optimistic thing to say next week he should be playing, it will be just a consequence of his good evolution.

“So we're happy. We were scared when it happened but next week we play Everton and (Manchester) City at the weekend. I believe for one of these matches he should be back.”
