Jose Mourinho has made his first signing by acquiring Benfica’s midfielder, Gedsen Fernandes on an initial 18-month loan.

Spurs have an option to buy clause inclusive in the deal next year in a fee reported to be £65 million in the summer of 2021. Fernandes was heavily linked with a move to West Ham but he later turned down the move and opted to join the North London club.

 

 

The 21-year old completed his medical on Monday and will add more option to Spurs midfield for Jose Mourinho, who is looking to strengthen his squad after the injury of captain Harry Kane.
