Kalybos has offered an explanation for his recent actions after he was accused of campaigning against John Dumelo at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.

It was earlier reported that Kalybos, Prince David Osei, Bismark the Joke, Cwesi Oteng and actress Bibi bright had joined the Ayawaso West NPP campaign trail with the sole purpose of campaigning against John Dumelo in favour of NPP’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan. 

The Ghanaian comedian and actor has now explained that no such thing has happened in a post on his social media page.

According to him, himself and the others went down to Ayawaso West Wagon, Ablekuma North and James Town only to campaign for the NPP, and they never once openly campaigned against John Dumelo directly.

He explained that since the elections are based on democracy, there's bound to be differences in opinions and it just so turns out that he and John Dumelo have made different choices.

Kalybos stated that he is still good friends with John Dumelo and their political differences does not make them enemies therefore he sees no point in directly campaigning against John Dumelo.

The comedian then pointed out that the so-called friends of John Dumelo have only started to show support now when the incident has occurred while many of them did not bother to show support before.

A wake up call came for those who chant #idey4u for John Dumelo who are supposed friends and colleagues of John but have never posted or shown support towards his campaign until KALYBOS and Co went to show support for their party NPP."

"Now we are seeing people posting John, writing essays with BIG grammar as if they attended montessori exhibiting their Hypocrisy whiles we the ‘Sytocians’ did what we believe in. Hmm asem ooo, just be real to yourself and others."
