"What is the point of going after the money and no one hears of me again?"- Cookie question Anchors on Station Migration due to Money

Shirley Tibilla also known as Cookie, host of Tales from the Powder Room on GHOne TV has revealed that, she would never move from where she works to a different TV station just because of Money.

According to Cookie, a lot of TV Anchors have migrated from one station to another just in the name of heavy wage rate.

She revealed that gaining much money without the ability to impact masses through the air waves means nothing to the anchor. 

“Everyone needs money as a way of motivation, but there is no way I will move to a new place when I know very well I will not make any impact there. What is the point of going after the money and no one hears of me again? A lot of radio presenters have made such moves and are regretting it now.”

Shirley told Graphic Showbiz that, she loves her current place and there is no way she will migrate when she perfectly knows that might end her career without influencing others.

She defined broadcasting as a the power to transform others and not the channel to empower money if it means shrinking one's status.

“Money is sometimes not everything but rather the platform you are on and the impact you make, and that has always been my motivation. I might not be around for a long time but I know where I am headed and I am very careful who and where I want my brand to be associated with.”

Cookie disclosed that, it has not been easy combining her radio and other TV shows but passion for the job is what keeps her going.

“I must confess it has not been easy combining the three, but Cookie is a hardworking lady who loves what she does. Although it sometimes becomes unbearable due to the pressure, I am able to hold it together because I am a strong woman”.

 “I have hosted Tales from the Powder Room for just a year and the positive messages I receive are amazing. I treated a topic about a young girl who had been sexually abused by her father and had two children with him. A lot of such victims opened up about their ordeal.”
